At this scale, an extra 3-second delay per person during a 15,000-entry-per-hour surge creates lines stretching hundreds of meters outside the venue. To maintain continuous throughput, we implemented three operational layers:

  1. Visual Pre-Check and Physical Bag Searches: Decoupling physical security screenings from digital ticket scanning. Merging both processes into the same square meter cuts flow rates in half.
  2. Real-Time Throughput Monitoring: Continuous tracking of scan rates per lane. If a group of scanners falls below target per-minute averages, field support teams intervene immediately to determine whether the issue is technical, connectivity-related, or caused by audience friction.
  3. Dedicated Issue Resolution Lanes: Any ticket with scan errors, uncredited purchases, or duplicate flags is diverted at a 45-degree angle toward an adjacent customer support tent. The main queue never stops to resolve an individual issue.
