Accreditation and access control on PASE for the official launch of the 41st Mar del Plata International Film Festival, organised by INCAA, on 19 October 2026 at the Palacio Libertad in Buenos Aires: three QR invitation circuits, VIP and Press badges, cocktail and auditorium.

On 19 October 2026, at the Auditorio Nacional of the Palacio Libertad in Buenos Aires, INCAA, Argentina’s national film institute, held the official launch of the 41st Mar del Plata International Film Festival, which runs from 5 to 15 November under the motto «Where Argentine cinema speaks to the world». 150 films were announced across 10 screens, chosen from 1,127 submissions, 27% more than in 2025. Present were Argentina’s Secretary of Culture, Leonardo Cifelli; the president of INCAA, Carlos Pirovano; and the Festival’s artistic directors, Gabriel Lerman and Jorge Stamadianos. Composer Emilio Kauderer received the Astor Piazzolla Lifetime Achievement Award and closed the evening conducting a concert of his film scores with the Orquesta Nacional de Música Argentina Juan de Dios Filiberto. DER handled accreditation and access control for the launch on PASE, our own QR accreditation platform: invitations across three circuits, RSVPs, VIP and Press badges, the cocktail beforehand, the auditorium and the report afterwards.

01

Three invitation circuits

Cocktail guests received the invitation with a button to confirm attendance, and their QR was only issued once they confirmed. Concert guests got their pass directly, and a public page with categories handled the rest of the audience and the press.

02

The Festival’s invitation, as it was

The mailings went out with the Festival’s own artwork, not redesigned, to a list of around 15,000 contacts, with two reminders before the event and manual additions every time the organisers added a guest.

03

Capacity, controlled in the database

At a free event not everyone who confirms shows up. The Festival asked to issue more passes than seats to fill the hall, and the cap was adjusted in the platform; once it was full, requests went to a waiting list.

04

VIP and Press badges

We printed the VIP Guest and Press badges, and made the piece with the QR code for the Festival’s programme.

05

Cocktail first, auditorium after

The DER team controlled entry in sequence: first the cocktail in the Salón de los Escudos, from 5:30 pm, then the doors of the Auditorio Nacional for the ceremony and the concert.

06

Final report the next day

On 20 October the organisers had the closing report: passes issued by type and check-ins by circuit, taken straight from PASE.

This event ran on PASE, our QR accreditation platform: registration, badges, door control and the final report in a single system.

At a free, invitation-based event, the number that matters is not how many signed up but how many come in. That is why capacity is controlled in the database, before it reaches the door.
